The Evans-White Lab is broadly trained in freshwater ecology and biogeochemistry. Recently-funded projects fall within the following main themes. We address data gaps to guide the development of conservation actions for freshwater aquatic life (primarily insects) and water quality criteria in fresh waters. Currently, we are examining the effects of salinization and eutrophication of inland fresh waters. Finally, we are are members of the Host-Virus Evolutionary Dynamics Institute where our laboratory specializes in examining the stoichiometry of host-virus interactions.
